What is your position at Hicks Roofing? 
Technical Services Manager

What are your primary responsibilities? 
Working closely with customers and assisting them in their roofing decisions.  By educating our customers with the technical aspects of the roofing industry, we can provide them with the objective information they need to make the best decisions

How long have you been with Hicks Roofing Inc.?
Since the beginning of 2007.

What did you do before joining the team at Hicks Roofing Inc.? 
I was the Senior Roofing Consultant with a multi-branch engineering firm that specialized in diagnosing and remedying building envelope systems (wall systems, window systems, roof systems and etc.).

How did you get started with Hicks Roofing Inc.? 
I was fortunate to have met Mike Hicks back in the early ‘90s…our paths crossed on a roof when I was working with roof system manufacturer and our relationship grew from there.  Our friendship continued to grow whereas, our families became an integral part of our friendship.  Through the years, Mike has approached me on several occasions to join his company.  I was pretty happy in my roof consultant role and through his persistence and vision of where he wanted to grow as a professional roofing company, he finally won me over. 

What do you like the most about your job or position? 
Gaining the trust and confidence of co-workers and customers. 

What’s the most interesting project or thing you’ve done while at Hicks Roofing Inc.? 
I was contacted by a long time friend of mine who happens to be an industrial/commercial roofer by trade.  He had HRI replace 2 roofs on his church because he trusted me as opposed to the company he worked for.

If I could have any job in the world, it would be? 
I really can’t think of anything! 

For relaxation I really enjoy? 
Hanging out at the family camper at Salt Fork Lake and lounging on my boat.

Growing up, the first job I ever had was? 
Stock boy at a convenience store.

The worst job I have ever had was? 
Working 4-turn, rotating shift at a factory.

People might be surprised to know that I once. 
Had hair!

What kind of car would you most likely be found driving? 
A 4-wheel drive, SUV.

I was born in? 
Canton, Ohio

My weekends are usually spent doing what? 
Going to the family camper at Salt Fork Lake and lounging on my boat, or shooting clay targets at a sporting clays club.

The thing I most dread in life is? 
Losing family members or friends.

If you could meet one person who would it be and why? 
Ronald Reagan is the only person that comes to mind, since his life was so diversified in being a Hollywood actor in his younger days, to being President of the United States.

If you were an animal, what would you be, and why? 
I cannot think of any particular animal that I would want to be. 

When I retire, I picture myself? 
Not being retired.  I will most likely find something to keep me busy and moving. 

The most important person in my life is? 
At the present time, the most important person in my life would have to be my son.  He is at a turning point in his life with finishing high school and beginning college.

The one thing I have that I cherish most is? 
Having the time to do the things that I enjoy.

If I were a tool, I would be a ???  why? 
I have no idea how to answer this question.

My favorite thing in my garage is?  My 30 year old KZ 1000 motorcycle that still turns heads in terms of looks and performance.

The favorite thing on my desk or in my office is? 
My laptop computer
