What is your position at Hicks Roofing?

General Manager

What are your primary responsibilities?

I sign all contract and project documents as well as track all project costs. I also handle the workers' compensation, health insurance and 401k plan.

When did you join Hicks Roofing?

1998

What did you do before joining the team at Hicks Roofing Inc.?

Engineer in the corporate engineering dept. for the Wayne Dalton Corp.

How did you get started with Hicks Roofing Inc.?

Worked for Hicks Roofing as a summer job during college.

What do you like the most about your job or position?

Meeting new customers and that there is never a dull moment.

What's the most interesting project or thing you've done while at Hicks Roofing Inc.?

Working on this web site and researching new 401k program.

If I could have any job in the world, it would be?

A carpenter.

For relaxation I really enjoy?

Being with my boys, going to dinner with my wife and spending time on my lawn work.

Growing up, the first job I ever had was?

Mowing grass.

The worst job I have ever had was?

Cutting cups at a golf course. I had to start at 4:30 am and that's way to early for me!

People might be surprised to know that I once?

Spent 105 days in a hospital and 9 months in rehabilitation following a swimming accident in Florida.

What kind of car would you most likely be found driving?

Anything that will last 14 years like my last car. Old Red!

I was born in?

Dover, OH

My weekends are usually spent doing what?

Going to Tuscora Park with my wife and kids!

The thing I most dread in life is?

Unorganized people.

If you could meet one person who would it be and why?

Warren Buffet. Now there's a man who has worked hard and gotten ahead in life.

If you were an animal, what would you be, and why?

Turtle. We have the same foot speed.

When I retire, I picture myself?

Living in Hilton Head Island, S.C. with my wife and relaxing.

The most important person in my life is?

My wife and boys.

The one thing I have that I cherish most is?

My wife and boys. Followed by my hotwheel collection that my dad started for me 35 years ago.

If I were a tool, I would be

a roll of duct tape because it is versatile and has many uses.

My favorite thing in my garage is?

My round up or my Scott's fertilizer spreader. Lawn care nut!

The favorite thing on my desk or in my office is?

My screen saver picture of my boys.
